Ryanair flies from Terminal 2 (T2) at Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN). T2 is the airport's older, low-cost terminal, and it is a separate building from Terminal 1, so it matters to know before you arrive: the two terminals are not connected airside or on foot, only by a free shuttle bus.
Which terminal is Ryanair at Barcelona Airport?
Ryanair operates from Terminal 2 (T2), the base for most low-cost carriers at BCN. T2 is split into sections T2B and T2C; Ryanair check-in and bag drop are in the T2B area, but the exact desks and gates can shift, so follow the airport signs and your boarding pass on the day. Ryanair runs one of the largest short-haul networks at Barcelona, with flights across Spain and Europe.
| Airline | Terminal | Area | Type |

| Ryanair | Terminal 2 (T2) | T2B | Low-cost, short-haul |
How to get to Terminal 2
If you arrive at the airport at Terminal 1 by mistake, or you are connecting from a T1 flight, take the free inter-terminal shuttle bus, which runs roughly every 6 to 7 minutes and takes about 10 to 12 minutes between T1 and T2. Allow extra time for it, especially at peak hours. The Aerobús from central Barcelona and the R2 Nord train both serve the airport; check which terminal your service reaches, as the train station sits at T2. For the full run into the city, see our airport to Barcelona guide.
Check-in, bags and gates
Use Ryanair's online check-in and have your boarding pass ready, as the airline charges to check in at the airport. Bag drop and gates are within T2. As a low-cost carrier, Ryanair enforces its cabin-bag and checked-bag rules strictly, so confirm your allowance before you reach the airport. Arrive in good time: T2 security queues can be long at busy periods.
