Shuttles and Buses from and to Barcelona Airport

Barcelona–El Prat Airport (BCN) is well connected to the city center and surrounding areas via metropolitan buses, night buses, and the express Aerobus service. These options cover both daytime and nighttime arrivals and departures, allowing passengers to choose between budget-friendly routes and faster shuttle services.

The TMB and Night Buses

During the day, TMB Bus 46 operates between Barcelona Airport and Plaça Espanya in the city center. The bus departs from both terminals and reaches downtown in approximately 30–40 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.

Bus 46 is accessible for passengers with reduced mobility. However, luggage space is limited, making it less convenient for travelers carrying multiple or large suitcases.

At night, Barcelona Airport is served by the Nitbus lines N17 and N18:

  • N18: Aeroport T1–T2 → Plaça Catalunya (serves both terminals)
  • N17: Aeroport T1 → Plaça Catalunya (Terminal 1 only)

Metropolitan Buses Timetable from BCN Airport

Bus 46 runs every 15–20 minutes from 05:30 am to 11:50 pm. Travel time is about 30 minutes from T2 and 35 minutes from T1 under normal traffic conditions.

On weekends and public holidays, Bus 46 operates from 05:30 am to 11:05 pm.

Night Bus N18 operates:

  • From T1: 00:18 am – 04:33 am
  • From T2: 00:25 am – 04:40 am
  • Frequency: every 15 minutes

Night Bus N17 runs from 09:55 pm to 04:50 am, also every 15 minutes.
